Stormy weather

What a week to be moving house, it's been awful - rain, rain, and more rain!

I had a day off work today and Alan's hired another van for a couple of days to finish off moving our things from the other house, and today we went on a shopping trip to Ikea. The closest Ikea is in Croydon which is about an hour away, so it ended up being a full day by the time we'd picked the van up. We got there just in time for lunch so of course we had to go and have the obligatory meatballs before we starting shopping.

We were there for four hours in total and managed to get everything on our list, including candles, and various things for Scarlett who will be coming to stay next week :-) and we loaded up and set off before the traffic got bad - or so we thought! It took us an hour to do 2.5 miles and then another hour to get back into Brighton, in very heavy rain, so it's been a long day!

When we got back the sky was very threatening and it was very windy, and whilst stuck in traffic in Rottingdean I took this photo of the windmill with the storm approaching and tonight there's been a lot of lightening.

Alan's been building our wall unit that we bought, so I'd better go and help tidy up - I'm still struggling to comment, but hopefully I'll get chance to catch up with you over the weekend.
