Messing about on the river

Travelled home from Derbyshire to Cornwall today and called in to see Ann’s friend, Simon, in Oxfordshire, who owns this fabulous barge.

Simon has just acquired this gorgeous little 5 year old dog, Misty. Misty took me on one of her favourite walks along the river and through the fields. We had a really good run and a bit of a splish, splosh, splash. Simon says that Misty is a collie but we’re not sure?? We think she’s got a bit of whippet in her. I know that she’s 5 years younger than me, but honesty……………… she’s so super speedy that I’m sure she’s not all collie??!!

After our walk we went to the 'Plum Pudding' in Milton for lunch. Ann had a ‘steak & mushroom baguette’ and Simon had ‘ham, eggs & chips’ and do you know what? ……………………..Neither of them gave us any little titbits??? We just had to lie under the table and keep quiet. However loads of people made a fuss of us and one of the bar staff gave us some treats. What a lovely dog friendly pub.

And then it was back in the car for a four & a half hour drive home. It shouldn’t have been that long?? The rain was horrendous and the journey was slow.

Ann says her holiday in 'Santa Pola' just seems like a distant memory now. And her tan is starting to flake off her body – she feels like she’s a snake shedding its skin?? It must have been windy here because all our sun terrace furniture has blown over.

Heating has been switched on…………………… And we’ll be back to our normal routine tomorrow.

Thank you Blippers, for all your comments, views, stars, favs, etc, etc, etc, over the last week. It hasn’t been easy for a gorgeous little collie like me to keep my BLIPS up to date while my owner has been out of the country, but I’m sure you’ll agree – Ann’s sister, nephew & niece have done an excellent job at helping me. xx
