Pheasant Season

Not sure this Pheasant knows that Pheasant Season starts on 1 October as he was strutting around the fields like he owned the place.

I took a number of photos but liked this was not just because its mostly in focus but because it shows the moorland starting just a field away. A typical local scene.

The path between the 2 drystone walls to the right of the picture is the way upto Open Country where in summer there Skylarks, Stonechats and Ring Ouzel if you are lucky and know where to look.

I did get a photo of a Buzzard flying overhead but decided it wasn't as good as this one.
