A Porch Past its Prime

I spotted this abandoned house last week after I had found my derelict subject, so I duly noted its location and went back this morning. It didn’t think it would be easy to find dereliction in the pristine suburbs of our nation’s capitol, but once I started really looking for it, there it was.

This old house sits on a two lane road that has a mix of old small homes, old businesses that pre-date the advent of the strip mall, and large, very expensive new homes. It is abandoned and boarded up and decorated with "No Trespassing" signs. It seems that I am getting quite good at trespassing.
