Box Full of Onions ...

... and shallots and garlic, which arrived this afternoon and will be planted out in the veggie garden when the wind and rain stop.

Lovely weather this morning, perfect for collecting the Bramley apples from the tree, some had to be cut down with their branches. Also collected a bowl full of blackberries from our garden and made some more Apple & Blackberry butter - you can never have too much. Some apples have been wrapped and stored in the garage.

Chatted on the phone with The Sailor who is trying to track down my grandfather's maritime qualifications - difficult, as with everything else family tree related!

My new cousin phoned this evening to change our arrangements for meeting tomorrow, lucky really because I have a dentist appointment.

Lit the log burner late afternoon so that the house was cozy when MrD came home from work. Very heavy rain, hail, thunder and lightening all evening and for most of the night too :-(((
