Greenfinch

It paused on the fence near the black sunflower feeder - sunflower seeds are a favourite. It's good to see one looking so healthy. Last year we had an outbreak of trichomoniasis around here and it was distressing to find dead greenfinches in the garden. A year or two earlier, collared doves were affected by the same disease. A large group (about 20 or 30) that fed in my garden was diminished and the numbers still haven't recovered.

I am careful about avian hygiene, by the way.
