Cockle Shell

A strangely calm and mild day after the gales of the last two days, so much so that the midges were out in force! The weather brought lots of birds into the relative shelter of the trees in the village gardens, including a long eared owl!

I'm looking after a couple of houses in the village at the moment, while their owners are away, so went to check them first thing. The road was strewn with huge pieces of seaweed, several folk were washing the salt off their cars and front windows! A very wild night but thankfully no real damage.

Realised late on that I hadn't taken any photos today so had to blip my emergency shell supply! It was either this or a half eaten fish pie!
