Flightless

Sad to say it appears a bird met an unfortunate end in my back garden at some point overnight/today. I suppose it was likely the culprit was a fox or bird of prey, but there were piles of feathers on the lawn, with a wee trail of them to an overgrown corner.

All part of the circle of life but not something so often close to home in an urban garden.
