Especially on your way home from school!!

Yesterday..... "Mum mum!! I've found a snake!!"

"ha ha Jamie, don't think so.... Oh my god!! .... It IS a snake!!.... Is it alive??..... "

" Yea!... That'll be alive then!"

"eh.... Ok.... "

We have a reptile shop in the village and we've found it on the path only about 7 metres away from their front door.

But it's SHUT on a Tuesday........

So we have a visitor for the night.

Sleepover.

The boys have christened him Jack apparently!

He's a California kingsnake apparently.

He was quite friendly and slept in the boys room with a hot water bottle!

I was just glad that:

1. He was still in the tub in the morning

2. He was still alive in the morning!!

I discovered that when I pick up a snake and it wraps itself round my hand, I get the heebie jeebies!

I felt a little more drawn to him after his photo shoot!

Returned to the shop today.

They were adamant that he couldn't have escaped from their shop and reckoned that someone local had perhaps bought one from them and it's escaped from the owner....

They have taken him in and are asking on their fb page if anyone has lost one!

We miss him already......

(well... The kids do.....)
