Frothy Weir

Not a bad start to the day weather wise - but of course the sun disappeared a few minutes after we set out on our walk!

The temperature seemed to plummet - and it got cold quite quickly. The wind was fairly strong, even the sheep were huddled up under a hedge to escape!

This afternoon I went to Tadcaster for a couple of errands and took the opportunity to wander along to the weir. I liked the way the water was breaking unevenly over the weir. A little bit of rain has increased the flow of water and so I used a faster shutter speed to try and capture the foam and the froth at the base.
