Sunrise
Wednesday 8th oct
A stunning start to the day with this sun rise, the colours remained like this for 15-20 minutes and then changed to one vast golden colour again staying like this for minutes.
Another duck farm and a good sized area for 6 CC, I bought a jar of local honey. They also grow asparagus, the pale variety available in a jar, and peanuts. Another first to see a peanut plant - the French word d'arachide. When we arrived I asked about this word and the lady told me it was 'spinach' and then showed a peanut plant. Once we had looked at the plant growing and found a whole peanut underground it was clear, I feel I should let her know the correct translation. The farm is very busy and as I was out there at 8.00 taking this shot the tractor was busy in front to me it's light just possible to see in the shot. A number of white vans have arrived with people heading over to the duck area. Yesterday we drove over this way to the SW coast and watched the Atlantic sea in awe. The waves are huge, the incoming tide strong. In front about 20ft away was a drop in the sand of a couple feet to sea level, in minutes the tide swept over this right up to our feet. The force was awesome. As I write there is a gentle patter of rain on the van.
Today we need to find a wifi to publish yesterday and today's blip.
