Dried Leaves

So many fall colors are popping up and today I focused in on these dried dead oak leaves... Go figure.

Of course the colorful ones are the obvious choice in the sunshine, but I was too late to catch anything spectacular today. The sun was falling below the horizon before I spent much time with the camera... At first I was disappointed, but then I spotted these leaves and became intrigued by their crinkly shape. Maybe I'll get out a little sooner tomorrow and catch some of those brilliant fall colors.
