Aquamarine/Nanna K's Day

Fog

Oh it’s still Summer in Seattle but this morning the fog rolled in (on little cat feet?) showing us that Fall is trying to take it’s place. I’m ready actually ….and I really like foggy pictures...and shorter days....and cooler temps...and rain....

Seattle (south looking north) around noon shortly before the fog lifted and the warm afternoon was filled with bright sunshine. Everyone downtown was eating outside on the sidewalks in shirtsleeves - it’s amazing. The peaked white building is the 100 year old (built in 1914) Smith Tower, the tallest building on the West coast for 50 years. Today you couldn’t see how dwarfed it usually is. On the website there is a cool map with the present Seattle overlaid on the old Seattle when the Smith tower was the only “skyscraper” . The photo can be scrolled back and forth.

Off to the Art Museum tonight to meet an old friend at the opening of the new POP departures show....
