Etchings

Went across to the Broadstairs Food Festival this morning. Bought some Kentish blue cheese and some marshmallows, though there was an awful lot on offer! Had a wander round then headed to Margate.

Stopped off at Botany Bay on the way and had a walk along the beach. Someone has carved this little face into the cliffs - bit more original than the usual 'Kylie loves Craig' malarkey!

Went to a shop called Haekels in Margate - fabulous stuff, really original things on sale. Smudge sticks made out of local herbs, candles scented with seaweed and herbs (nicer than it maybe sounds), body washes, beard oils, and a fantastic spin on a reed diffuser. A lump of the local limestone with carvings in it that you stand in some oil and it scents your room. Amazing, even if a tad pricey as it lasts literally forever!

The blue skies were back again, but looks like it will be the positively last day of summer. Damn.
