All the fun of the fair

This is the annual mop fair which closes Alcester high street for a couple of days. It's a noisy colourful affair and tonight was the annual beer testing by the Court Leet who declared the beer fit for consumption.

It's a bit ironic as today one of the best pubs in Alcester has closed suddenly. The reasons are not clear but we have heard rumours of receivers being involved. It's a sad day indeed

I regretted not having taken the tripod. There were several other photographers with them in evidence. This was hand held and is a tribute to the people bonkers enough to submit themselves to this type of torture.
