The Phoenix Rises

By sheilaM

Tradition, tradition, tradition.

After work, went to our wonderful Ironmonger, metal supplier, argricultural equipment and everything else a REAL man could want one stop shop.

I was looking for a pin for our boat steering shaft. In 1 minute I had it in my hand and was ushered out of the manly, gritty back-store into the panelled front office to pay my invoice.
36 pence later and a hand written "sales receipt" and a till receipt were stapled together and handed to me.

I asked if I could record this wonderful traditional place for posterity and the lady serving me said I could, only if she wasn't in the shot.

The chap obviously just ignored me.

Some things never change.

Note for Trabroun; I did it!
