Honey Show

The London Honey Show this evening was a new experience for me. I don't know much about honey, and even less about honey in London. But there are a lot of hives, particularly on rooftops. And the bees are in good shape with plenty of swarms.

Consequently there was a lot to see and taste. Delicious samples had a completely different taste to what I am used to.Apparently the lime trees give the honey a vaguely mint flavour. Delicious.

And friend Nikki won one of the prizes. As you can see she was amazed. Her trophy was for winning the North vs. South London contest. She lives in Bermondsey, south of the river. And her bees do indeed produce wonderful honey.
