A Dreich Day

After the class of Reciprocating Engines, I heard the cheering news that three Japanese won Nobel prize in physics. I'm proud of them as a Japanese and such news motivates me to study hard. Two of them have relation to Nagoya University. Come to think of it, Two Japanese who won Nobel prize in physics in 2008 are also from the university. I hope Nobel prize laureates come from Hokkaido University in the future.

It's been dreich here in Sheffield these three days. By the way, I cannot find the equivalent word meaning 'dreich', which means gloomy, cold, and wet at the same time.

The building in the photo is called Mappin Building which is of Faculty of Engineering.
