A tight turn

Wet and miserable walk down by the canal only a few ducks about enjoying the wet, wet, wet weather. I know we are in need of the rain as it's been unusually dry through September and the farmers will be pleased no doubt.

My efforts to keep as dry as possible took us along the footpath Lola prefers to walk along the river as she can dip in and out for a drink on route she daren't go near the canal for fear of falling in, which she did four years ago, amazingly she managed to struggle out but a serious lesson was truly learned!

When we got along to the locks at Salterhebble we happened upon this couple with their barge. They negotiated two locks most competently and then it looked like they were unsure of their direction........
