A less than intrepid adventure

We took a boat through the islands to Rinca, one of the two main islands home to the infamous Komodo Dragons. They were impressive beasts although the experience was a little diminished by the fact that they were all gathered around the rangers kitchen abut 100 yards from the visitor's station, napping. We insisted on the long trek round the island to see if we could find a slightly more authentic-feeling encounter. We did find some more and the scenery was fantastic - parched plain land with tall spiky palms.

Later we went snorkeling in beautiful waters - I was torn which photo to include, but felt at least one blip should be dedicated to these guys.
