Jumpin' Jelly Beans
Well, maybe not.
Scarlet Runner Bean seeds to be precise - and aren't they pretty!
We were the lucky recipient of these seeds from John Kearney - thank you John. Early this year, John gave us some of his beans and they were mighty delicious so we're looking forward to harvesting these in the months to come.
They are very tall growing at over 2 metres, heavy croppers and perennial for up to 7 years. The flowers are so pretty that, in the States, they often grow them as ornamentals and don't bother with eating the beans. Madness!
And all that from this seed.
It's impressive, isn't it?
