Open Invitation

I always think gates left agape like these are an open invitation to explore the tree covered, winding avenues that meander to into untold possibilities. I find it difficult to pass by old gates like these with the stone wheel protectors still in place and heavy cast iron gates not yet replaced by galvanized steel.... Wandered all day after last night's storms to see the damage caused and was pleasantly surprised by the colours being displayed on the Autumn lanes....just saying
