Low Light Still Life
So autumn has arrived with a vengeance today, with wet and windy weather. With the nights also starting to draw in, attention is starting to turn to alternatives to outdoor landscape blips.
With this in mind I decided to give this project a try after reading about it in N-Photo over breakfast this morning. It was a simple set up, a still life in a darkened room with a dark background, lit from above by a desk lamp. I didn't have any apples and pears as used in the article, but I did have some wooden mushrooms and acorns to stand in. I'm not sure whether the desk lamp was perhaps a tad too bright. No tweaks on this other than changing the white balance in Photoshop.
