Ready to start cooking. Indian scrambled eggs, taken from Rick Stein's Indian recipe book.

Quick, easy, delicious & not expensive.

3 eggs (beaten), 2 tomatoes (chopped), 1 large red onion (diced), 1 green chilli (sliced, seeds in), teaspoon of cumin seed (roasted, then ground), half teaspoon of black pepper (roughly ground), a bit of chopped coriander and 2 wee pitta breads.

None of those ingredients has been anywhere near a supermarket. All organic, but that's a matter of choice & budget.

Ideal for a chilly October evening.
