Get in, Get Out of the Rain
Today I awoke to howling gales and pouring rain, and the knowledge that at least two men were coming to do work on the roof.
I called their office, hoping that maybe they would come when I wasn't there, and when the weather was nicer.
It was not to be. They duly turned up at 8.45, and got stuck in, wearing waterproofs and big tackity bits.
I hid in the living room, keeping the blinds tipped. I don't like invaders in my space, and these were large space invaders.
I decided to do something to occupy my mind, and that thing was sewing. I made lavender bags, cat nip bags, I made a dog collar hanky, and a cat collar hanky - and my very first quilt.
I have been so engrossed in my stitching and avoiding the space invaders that I have ate nothing all day, and now my stomach feels like my throat has been cut.
Hey ho. Job done now. Place is a mess. Cars are back in drive, and Beau has already overdosed on catnip.
I can have a nap now.
