Away-it
When Conor encounters a problem that he wants some help with, he will come to us and say "away-it, away-it", which is his way of saying "fix it please". This morning he asked me to "away-it" because he had stuck his thumb through one of the holes in this number eight. It was quite tricky to get it out; there were a few tears and his thumb looked really red. But then he immediately tried to do it again. So this little shape puzzle, which for all of Orla's toddlerhood never once seemed like it posed any harm, is now consigned to the bin.
