Here we go again...
Regular readers will know we have a couple of very good friends who own classic Triumph cars from the 1970s. These are entered for Club Triumph charity events which usually involve feats of endurance for car and driver(s). That's where we (Annie and I) come in, always happy to drive.
This weekend the annual Club Triumph Round Britain Reliability Run takes place. Kicking off today at 6pm in North London, we will drive through the next 48 hours checking in at a dozen checkpoints including John O'Groats in the very North of Scotland and the most Southerly point in mainland England at Land's End. Within teams, we take turns drive, navigate and sleep.
Today has been all about the prep as we prepared for a 6pm setoff. 110 Triumph cars are taking part so the starting point was packed with cars and people, I grabbed a few shots whilst the drivers briefing takes place. A lovely sunny evening to start the event.
