Burning bush
Beside the dark water of the River Echaig, at the end of a dull afternoon with rain promised, this bright bush blazed with intense colour. Every day brings changes in the leaves just now, though I wonder if the gales that are threatened for this night will strip many of them and leave them lying in the mud. Perhaps it is this very fragile transience that makes autumn trees so amazing.
