We pulled it off!

Today Bromley Swimming Club hosted our first Open Meet. Everyone came on board to help as officials, marshals, caterers, tech people... the list of jobs is endless but the team worked brilliantly.

Heidi was personally invited to be a 'runner' and was so chuffed she has literally been counting down the days. Not sure she realised the 'running' was up and down stairs, passing printed results slips to the referee at the end of each race. She and her friend started off enthusiastically, but by the afternoon Doug had to step in and help!

Joe swam all nine events and got a Kent time for 200m breaststroke - his first ever breaststroke time! Came home with a bunch of medals too.

Chloe and I did our bit as timekeepers, although I left early as my cold is in full flow and I literally couldn't stand the heat.
