Another Place

It may have been a long journey to Formby across the Pennines but well worth the effort. We took a young club member with us who did really well on his course. I on the other hand did well in the technical sand dunes but made a silly error on a relatively easy leg - very frustrating!

Following the run we dropped down the coast towards Liverpool to call in to Crosby Sands where artist Anthony Gormley has installed 100 cast iron statues spread over 3 km of beach known as Another View. This is one of the barnacle covered statues looking out towards other statues and Liverpool beyond.

Next week is Race the Castles weekend where we will be racing round both Edinburgh and Stirling Castles. Looking forward to it already!
