A day of firsts

We've had a lovely day today. We met up with my brother and his family and went for a carvery lunch at their new local pub. The food was delicious and we were all stuffed. Afterwards though we went back to their house and we managed to squeeze in some belated birthday cake for Mr J. The kids all got on nicely playing together, although I did get hit on the head by a flying toy car, courtesy of my niece, ouch!

It's also been a day of firsts for little man. He has cut his first tooth! It looked as though one at the bottom was coming for the last week or so. But this morning he was on my lap and had his head back whilst I was tickling him and I saw a little white tooth at the top! I think our breastfeeding days may be limited now!

He has also been trying to pull himself up today for the first time. He doesn't get much further than lifting his bum off the ground but it's a start. I reckon he may skip crawling and go straight to walking.
