pick up conkers!!! Lovely family day with a slow start and a long breakfast. Time together to chat and plan then some more baking.. well its always fun!
This time we made Sour Cherry Amaretti from Ottolenghi's book.. yummy little things! Then a lovely sunny walk to the conker trees and what a crop there were. It is always fun trying to knock down a few of the last remaining conkers..my schooltime javelin arm was somewhat out of practice!!!

I wonder if it is true that conkers deter spiders comming in to a home.. (do hope so!)
