The Border

Have you ever stopped to think about what if you had been born across the border? That border could be Canada, Mexico, or anywhere for that matter. A photo exhibit was at my school on the night of my classes. I only had about 20 minutes to look at the most incredible photos of the border between California and Mexico. Each photo told an incredible story of life where someone was and the yearning to be across the border. Most of them want a better chance of life for their families. Wouldn't we all want that for our own children? What would you risk for it?

I was glued to this photo. I didn't want to leave it. I have sons, born here in California and they have had a great life, family, friends, schools, church, CHOICES. They are grown now, but what would I have risked for them to have this life?

Interesting to think about. I am glad the photographer brought these photos to USC and that I got to see and think about this hot and emotional topic.
