Crane fly

A lovely day, sunny and quite warm. Went out for a long walk after lunch and took lots of shots of the bees on the ivy, there were a lot of them! There is a smell to the ivy at this time of year when they are covered in pollen. Also a lot of red admiral butterflies around them. Put these on blipfolio. Then I saw this cranefly on this leaf with the sun shining through it, so this was my choice. Best Large. Came home had a cuppa and then went to the allotment and did some digging, then went to see mum.
