The long summer break (which actually went incrediby quickly!) was over and Daniel was returning to New College today, a week early, as he's helping out with fresher's week. I helped him with some very last minute packing (so much stuff to remember to take!) We just about managed to fit it all in the car though, about 3 hours later than intended, but there was no room for Daniel and I (and his bike) so we travelled separately on the Oxford Tube bus with the bike.

He is living in a house just around the corner from New College with two other friends this year, so we dumped all the stuff in the lounge quickly, had a very quick look round the 'lad pad' and then he immediately had to go off to a meeting. Some very busy, hard-working and exciting weeks ahead for them all!

I had a quick wander around Oxford after, where I took this poor quality, rushed shot poking the camera through Magdalen Bridge, as had to get back to the car as the parking ticket was about to run out!
