Govetts Leap Lookout
Dropped the bushwalkers off at Govetts Leap for their descent into the Blue Gum Forest.
They're staying overnight, and it would be beautiful in this weather.
Unfortunately, fires are no longer allowed, which, while understandable, is a shame.
Almost all the lookouts and parks in Blackheath have charming stone structures, most of which are picnic sheds, though Mt Blackheath does have a wonderful dunny in a similar style.
I seem to remember reading that the council was responsible for them, but a council worker took it upon himself to build many in his own time, in the 20s, I think.
Have spent too much time trying to find the reference, but hope I can come across it soon.
