Blue Bubble Car

I think I have blipped this before but it's very sweet trundling along the tracks! It is a shuttle service between Aylesbury and Princes Risborough calling at Little Kimble and Monks Risborough. It only runs on Weekdays and is in addition to the 'normal' trains that run on this line.

I called into see a friend of mine who I hadn't seen for sometime, he was the Parish Clerk before me and helped me no end when I first started. He was very poorly at one time on top of all the other medical issues he has and his wife passing away suddenly a couple of years ago, so it was good to see him looking really well indeed and he always cheers me up with this jolly banter. His recent sad news was that his young staffie cross dog, Holly, had collapsed suddenly and was found to have a huge tumour on her spleen, she was barely alive when he got her to the vets and her prognosis was not good so he took the kindest but toughest decision for her. On a positive note he now has a Romanian rescue dog called Barney, who is the shape of a Corgi but the coat and colour of a Husky, very cute!! His gardener Andy, who I used to help out occasionally, was there also so we had a cuppa and a chat together.

Called into work today, it seems that transformation has one of our team at risk and we may move to County Hall, or at least some of the team will. Not a great idea to split the team in my view and I really hope that Jayne is able to keep her job.
For some reason I was very anxious about going in, I have been signed off until after Christmas, which seems a long time away after all the time I have had off, and was very anxious about the reaction I might get, they were fine of course and it feels like a big weight has been lifted. I cried all the way home!
