Memories of East Berlin

My friend Cathrin turned 50 today. The first 25 years of her life were spent behind the Berlin Wall in East Berlin. The second 25 years have happened since the Wall came down. ( it will be 25 years on November 9 this year.) An old friend, Peter, brought her this gift basket of old East German products--including toothpaste, pudding, and tea. You can imagine the emotions she must have felt in seeing them.
