Kicking It

In his 9 years, Bob has never expressed an interest in soccer (football to those of you in the rest of the world). But his friend signed up to play in a league in our neighborhood park, so Bob decided to join as well. Unfortunately, the city couldn't find a coach. Apparently our neighborhood is too quirky to have parents who actually know how to play the game and who are willing to coach. A Parks & Rec employee stepped in as coach this week. Bob seemed to do quite well as a goalie. He blocked every attempt but one, which was Way over his head. They didn't win this week, but they had fun, which is really the point.
