Lichen

After a night of very heavy rain, today was a surprisingly fine day. The wind has dropped too.

I was up very early and decided to investigate a farmers' market in the next village, sadly they had the last one in September. A last attempt at collecting wild blackberries for jam was rewarded with blackberries and sloes (for sloe gin!) and this pretty lichen covered branch.

Made apple and blackberry butter whilst trying to get everything sorted for tomorrow's table top sale.
