On the soup trail

Every year, at about this time, Bewdley has a soup trail, which means that between 6 and 8 (usually) venues in the town prepare their soup creations which are then sampled by maybe a couple of hundred people, and ranked in order of 1 to (whatever). This year the quality was excellent, and really I could have rated them all equally, but I had to make a choice from, this year, one to seven. My personal No. 1 today was Pomodoro, a small restaurant with an Italian flavour, which hasn't done well in the soup trail in the last two years. Well, the ultimate winner will be assessed sometime tomorrow, although I probably won't find out the result until it's published in the local press this coming week.
