Surprise!

Today, we travelled to Spain to spend a week with friends who have lived and worked here for over 10 years. We're out here to celebrate Rich's 50th birthday in a quiet way with his mum. Our friends had other ideas. There are now 16 people here!

Although this was taking a risk and a plan I wouldn't have gone with, Rich is seriously touched by how people have come out here for his birthday despite expecting something smaller.

Tonight we enjoyed a fabulous meal and catch up at Kirsty's hotel which is well worth a visit if you're over this way.

I have a new drink... tinto de verano with poco vino (no idea if that's the spelling!) Red wine & lemonade with a little wine (I fall over if I drink too much)
