Scoring

This week's alphabet challenge on Flickr is N for Numbers, and I've been wondering for days what to capture for that. The sons arrived last night and son no 1 suggested a golf score card, of which husband has a large shoebox full of memorable ones. But just as we had decided on one we saw the scorebook which we took with us on a very memorable first holiday together to the Test Match at Lord's July 1980, England vs West Indies. My husband though Dutch has played cricket since his youth and in the beginning of our relationship the only way to see him during the weekend was to accompany him to his matches. I learned how to be a scorer :-) This one we did together during that very memorable Test Match. The things one does for love ;-)
And these are certainly a lot of numbers, every ball during the game is accounted for .
