Maize

Took Max along a route we have travelled before through a field of Maize towards the Estuary.....but today the fields have been cut - they were bare and how empty they looked! Short stubble with the odd ear of corn lying crushed on the earth. This one caught my eye as the outside sheath was a lovely red colour and the texture interesting. The corn was yellow but that does not show nicely.
