In a rush

I think we set off too early today. I should have waited another couple of hours and I might have got this view of the River Almond in spate below Cramond Falls in sunshine. It teemed down most of yesterday and all night and part of the morning. The balcony plants are nicely drenched. And I surmised that the River Almond might be quite full of water. All the water courses around here are really short, so a short period of rain can really pep them up.

So I shouldn't have been in such a rush.
