The new energyscape emerging in Scotland - part of the North-West Europe energy grid which is being developed with numerous land-based and planned offshore wind projects. This North-West European grid "should become, together with the Mediterranean Ring and the Baltic Interconnection project, one of the building blocks of a future European Supergrid."
