Meet Jake Elwood

This cat's mum died last week and it looked like he would end up at Cats Protection or RSPCA so we agreed to take him in.

He was originally called Jacob Elwood but being a fan of the films and given his colour, it seemed appropriate to shorten it to Jake. Link to excellent music here

He is gradually getting used to his new surroundings - although he is yet to meet the resident menagerie of 2 cats and 2 dogs! Currently confined to just the dining room, he is now washing, eating, accepting fuss and happy to sit on my lap.
