A snowy start
We woke up this morning to snow low down on the hills surrounding the township and farm. When I went out at 7.15am to feed calves, it was sleeting, raining, cold and 1.7 degrees.
The younger calves have been housed in sheds, so lucky for them they were nice and sheltered from the terrible weather. After breakfast it started to snow, although there wasn't enough to settle on the ground.
The sun is out as I type this, but it's not likely to be with us for long, as more horrid weather has been forecast to be with us tonight and tomorrow. I'm not sure what has happened to our spring!
I took this photo about 7.30am this morning, when we had a brief appearance from the sun. The snow does look attractive with the sun on it, but once the bad weather disappears over the weekend, we are going to be in for some cracker frosts.
