Greenhouse project
Done! As you can see the greenhouse has landed. It's been an interesting experience. My son and I both struggled with the minimal and poorly illustrated instructions but we got the frame assembled.
Since then it turned out we'd missed a few things because the instructions were unclear. This meant undoing a few things so as to thread in bolts that were supposed to be there for later steps.
The glazing guide had letters to identify where different sized panes of glass were to go. Unfortunately the letters on the glass we got included some that weren't on the guide. More guesswork.
The final steps today were the window vents and the doors. I had to refit the window vents in the roof because they too needed to be slotted into a groove. That turned out to be fairly difficult given the glass for the rest of the roof was in place.
After a lot of deliberation and disbelief I finally decided that the only way to get the door to fit properly was to hacksaw off the bottom 2cm. It worked.
Everything else is going to be easy after this!
