Signs of strain...

This is the root of tree, blown down a couple of years ago. The catastrophic storm wrenched the root up from deep below ground, and left this root as a tight cable across the high looping path above the reservoir. It has been worn smooth by hundreds of feet since then, and is just part of the normal walk with Molly the Collie.
